New Delhi: More than 20,70,868 people have been vaccinated in New Delhi till date out of which more than 17 lakh people have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and over 3 lakh people have received their second dose, officials of the Health Department said.
They said that around 1,04,862 people have been administered COVID-19 vaccines in the last 24 hours in the national capital.
The inoculation drive is taking place at a time when the coronavirus cases have again mounted in the last few weeks.
On Sunday, a total of 1,04,862 people were administered doses. The first dose was given to 91,099 and the second dose was given to 13,763 beneficiaries.
More than 17,12,109 people have been administered the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine till now. Around 3,58,759 people have been administered a second dose of COVID vaccine.

The vaccine festival is being marked in the country from April 11-14 at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with an aim to inoculate the maximum number of eligible people against the coronavirus amid a surge in cases.
In Delhi, an all-out mobilisation was the main thrust of the 'Tika Utsav' and accordingly, a specially focused effort was made by officials. This has resulted in the national capital crossing the one lakh per day vaccination figure for the first time.

Delhi recorded 10,774 fresh COVID-19 cases on Sunday, the highest single-day surge in the national capital till date, according to data shared by the health department.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the government does not want to impose a lockdown in Delhi but such a situation may arise if there is a rush to the hospitals and beds are unavailable for serious patients.
