New Delhi: India reported 30,570 new cases and 431 deaths in 24 hours ending 8 am on Thursday, the Union Health Ministry said in a bulletin. With this, the total tally of active cases stands at 3,42,923 and the death toll at 4,43,928. The number of people who have recuperated from the disease has surged to 3,25,60,474. As many as 38,303 people recovered in 24 hours, as per the bulletin.

According to the health ministry, 54,77,01,729 samples have been tested till September 15 of which 15,79,761 were tested on Wednesday. According to the ministry, 74,25,94,875 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered under the nationwide vaccination drive so far.
