Amaravati:The Andhra Pradesh government is yet to give its nod to Ayurvedic practitioner Bonigi Anandaiah's eyedrops after giving a green signal for the three concoctions. During a hearing in the High Court, the government said the clinical study of the eyedrops is underway and its benefits are not yet ascertained. Final reports are awaited. Subsequently, the High Court reserved its verdict on the eyedrops.
The court asked whether the state government is willing to give eye drops to patients in critical condition. The government clarified that demand for eyedrops will increase if it is given. The state government asked for three weeks to submit a report on eyedrops before the High Court.

Regarding the rush at Krishnapatanam for the concoctions, Anandaiah's advocate Balaji said to the court that only 15 to 20 people are currently visiting to get the medicine now.
