Couple dies as raft capsizes during pre-wedding shoot

The pre-wedding shoot of Karnataka couple was robbed of joy. The couple was killed after the raft on which they were posing for capsized and they were drowned.

Talakadu: Shashikala and Chandru's joy of pre-wedding shoot was short-lived. Never had the couple thought that the moments they were looking forward to cherish would turn out to be a nightmare for them.

The marriage of Shashikala and Chandru was fixed for November 22 and preparations were going on in full swing. The couple had planned for a pre-wedding shoot near Kaveri river in Tirumakudalu Narasipura Taluk.

During the photo shoot, the couple was posing on a raft but it got capsized due to high river current. Shashikala lost her balance fell into the river. Chandru jumped into the river to save her but failed. The couple lost their life as both of them did not know swimming.

As soon as the news broke out, the rescue team reached the spot and fished out their bodies. A pall of gloom has descended upon the parents of the couple after they received the news of their tragic demise.

Talakadu police visited the incident spot as a part of the investigation process. A case of unnatural death has been registered.
