New Delhi: In a fresh development in the Republic Day violence case, the Delhi Police's Crime Branch has filed a charge sheet before the Court stating protestors had been allegedly conspiring since November 2020 to unleash violence. The Crime Branch has stated protestors chose Republic Day with the intention of defaming the Central Government.
A large number of tractors were purchased and protestors had planned to unleash violence at the Red Fort rather than at the border. The intention was to capture Red Fort and sit there for demonstration, it said.
