Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress slammed the ruling BJP for reportedly exercising its prerogative to halt the shooting of Bollywood actress Vidya Balan's film.
Vidya Balan reportedly turned down the dinner invite offered by the state forest minister Vijay Saha. The opposition has hit out at the saffron party saying that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan should apologise to the actress.
Congress slams BJP for halting shooting of Vidya Balan's film Congress's media Vice-President Bhupendra Gupta said, "I am appalled to know that the shooting of Vidya Balan's film was stopped just because she turned down the dinner invite. This is an insult to Madhya Pradesh and its people. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan should teach patience to such ministers who express their views before giving it a second thought."
He went on to add, "CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan should apologise to Vidya Balan on the behalf of seven crore people of the state. The leader must also ensure that BJP leaders will not exercise their influence in the future."
