Tibetan authority in India urges world to be wary of Chinese govt

Speaking about the disappearance of Chinese billionaire Jack Ma, Deputy Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-exile (TPIE) Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok said that it is not the first times when the Chinese government has tried to muzzle voices of critics.

Dharamshala:Speaking about the disappearance of Chinese billionaire Jack Ma, Deputy Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-exile(TPIE) Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok said that it is not the first time when the Chinese government has tried to muzzle voices of critics.

"As the news about the co-founder of Alibaba Group going missing shocked the world, his disappearance serves as a message to all its citizens and people around the world that Chinese government will have no tolerance for its critics," the deputy speaker said.

"We have been facing this issue for the last 60 years. Now, it's a high time to understand the people of China to raise their voice against the Communist regime", said Phuntsok to ETV Bharat.

Shares in Alibaba have fallen by around 25 per cent since October, when founder Ma made critical comments about China's regulator and state-owned banks.
