Children found chained in a Madrassa in UP

A shocking video of children found chained in a Talimul Quran Madrassa under Sasligate police station limits in the Ladiya area has emerged where children are forced to beg in the name of donations and beat up those who got less money. The madrassa is being run by one Maulana Fahimuddin.

When two locals Mohammad Rizwan and his friend Waseem, got to know about the inhuman treatment being meted out to the children, they decided to question the Maulana. When the duo reached the Madrassa, an enraged Fahimuddin assaulted them.

It was then that the victims decided to approach the police and filed a complaint against the Maulana at the SSP office on Monday. According to Rizwan and Waseem, the Madrassa was built illegally, and that the Maulana keeps the children chained and makes money by sending them to beg in the name of donations.

CO Raghavendra Singh has said that a video in this regard has been received through social media and that a police probe will be conducted in the matter. Action will be taken on the basis of the facts revealed in the investigation.
