New Delhi:In the wake of spurt in cases of COVID-19 across the country, Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member from Jharkhand, Dheeraj Sahu alleged that the central government is paying no heed to the vaccine shortage issue in the state.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, he said that the number of COVID patients is rising rapidly in the state but there is no help from the BJP-led central government.
Congress leader Dheeraj Sahu speaking to ETV Bharat "There is a severe shortage of COVID vaccine and ventilators in Jharkhand. The people of the state are facing a lot of problems but the government at the centre is continuously overlooking even in this crunch situation," he alleged.

Sahu further said that he is in constant touch with the state Health Minister and the state government is taking all possible measures to curb the spread of the virus.
It may be mentioned here that Jharkhand Health Secretary KK Soan has written a letter to the Special Secretary of the Union Ministry of Health, requesting to provide 1,500 ventilators in view of the growing case of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the state's COVID-19 tally rose to 1,41,750 on Tuesday after 2,366 more people tested positive, while 29 fresh fatalities pushed the death toll to 1,232.
Ranchi district reported the highest number of new cases at 1,049, followed by East Singhbhum (370) and Ramgarh (142).
