New Delhi:The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced its Class 12 exam results on Friday. The outgoing Class 12 students can check their results on the official website of the CBSE: results.cbse.nic.in or cbseresults.nic.in Students need to log in using their roll number, school number, admit card ID and date of birth to know their scores.

They can also check their results at DigiLocker and UMANG apps. The CBSE has issued six-digit security pins for activating students' DigiLocker accounts. The schools can download these security pins by using their LOC credentials from the online portal. Students have to use their security pins to activate their accounts. They can download digital copies of their marks sheets and certificates from their Digilocker accounts.

87.33 per cent students have passd in the CBSE conducted Class 12 board examination. This is a dip of 5.38 per cent as compared to the last year. The pass percentage last year was 92.71 per cent. The Trivandrum region tops with 99.91 per cent. Girls outshined boys by 6.01 per cent with 90.68 per cent this year. CBSE Class 12 board exams were held in February, March and April. As many as 16,96,770 students were eligible to appear for these exams.

In a bid to avoid unhealthy competition the CBSE has decided not to award first, second and third division to students. There will not be any merit list as well for the same reason, the board announced. The board will issue merit certificate to 0.1 per cent students who have scored the highest marks in various subjects.

In another development, the Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj announced that CBSE compartment exams will be called 'supplementary' examination from now. Moreover, Class 10 students will now be allowed to improve their performance in two subjects in their supplementary exam and in one subject in Class 12.
