Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank announced the date sheet for classes 10, 12 through a video message on his Twitter handle, the Union Education Minister said that the country has developed two vaccines and the vaccination drive has already being roll-out to fight COVID -19 pandemic.

"We are not fully safe till we take all precautions as per COVID-19 guidelines," he added. 

In December last year, Ramesh Pokhriyal had informed that the CBSE will be conducting the board examination for class 10 and 12 from May 4 to June 10. The results for both will be declared on July 15. As many as 30 lakh students appear for the CBSE Board examinations every year. 

The practical examinations and the internals are usually conducted in January and the theory papers were begins conducted in the month of February and March but this year, the examinations are delay due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the release of the CBSE Board exam time table has been delayed.

CBSE board exam schedule for classes 10 and 12 announced

New Delhi: Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on Tuesday announced the date-sheet of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board exams for classes 10 and 12.

The board had announced that it would conduct board exams for classes 10 and 12 physically from May 4 to June 10.

Practical examinations will be conducted by schools from March 1. The results of the board exams will be announced by July 15.

Usually, practical exams are conducted in January and written exams begin in February and conclude in March. However, the exams have been delayed this session in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Several schools have already conducted pre-board exams online to keep the students prepared.

The CBSE had earlier announced that board exams in 2021 will be conducted in written mode and not online.

Schools across the country were closed in March to contain the spread of COVID-19. They were partially reopened in some states from October 15.

However, a few states have decided to keep them closed in view of a spike in the number of infections.

The board exams in 2020 had to be postponed mid-way in March. They were later cancelled and the results announced on the basis of an alternative assessment scheme.
