CBI will take the help of 'Interpol' to unearth new facts in Dhanbad’s famous judge Uttam Anand’s murder case. For the same, an application has been made to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, which is still pending.

Ranchi:The CBI will take help from International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) to unearth new facts in Dhanbad’s famous judge Uttam Anand’s murder case. The apex investigative agency in the country made it clear before the Jharkhand High Court that it will seek "Interpol's" help while submitting a sealed progress report of the case befoure the court.

CBI also has submitted an application before the Ministry of Home Affairs demanding permission for the same. For now, the request is still pending, after getting the center's nod CBI will proceed further.

While the court has fixed the next hearing of the case on October 14 and directed the CBI to file the progress report of the case again after four weeks. The matter was heard by a divisional bench of Chief Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad.

Judge Uttam Anand’s murder case is still being probed by the CBI after trials got completed and both the accused Rahul Verma and Lakhan Verma were sentenced to life imprisonment on August 6 by a special CBI court in Dhanbad.

Following this, the Jharkhand High Court questioned the probe agency on how they can continue the probe when the trial has been completed and a sentence has been awarded, over which the CBI cited a Kerala High Court judgment saying that the CBI can continue the investigation in any case if it expects new facts man can emerge even after completion of the trial.
