Blast near police post in J&K's Ramban

A grenade was hurled by an unknown person near a police post in the Gool area of the Ramban district in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning, said a police official.

Ramban (J&K):A grenade was hurled by an unknown person near a police post in the Gool area of the Ramban district in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning, said a police official. However, the attackers missed the target as the grenade fell short of the target and exploded near the Ind Police Post, the official said.

Two police personnel, SPO Shakeel Ahmed and Lal Singh received minor injuries in the incident. They were shifted to District hospital Ramban. A letter was found near the blast site which claimed it was caused by the Jammu Kashmir Ghaznavi Force (JKGF). Special Operation Group (SOG) and Army teams conducted search operations. A case has been registered in the matter and a probe is underway, the official said.
