New Delhi: Minister of State for Education and BJP MP from Jharkhand Annapurna Devi extended her gratitude towards PM Modi and BJP national president JP Nadda for this opportunity. "I thank PM Modi, BJP national president JP Nadda, that I have been given the responsibility of election co-in-charge of BJP in Uttar Pradesh. This time the party will fight for the issues like good governance and development. BJP will again form the government in UP with a thumping majority," she said.
"I will work under the guidance of Dharmendra Pradhan in UP. I will try my best to live up to whatever expectations are from me. I will work hard for the party. The BJP government in the state is doing well on every front.," she added.
On being asked about the demonstration of BJP leaders in Jharkhand, who were injured during the lathicharge by police she said, "In a democracy, everyone has the right to express their views. The lathicharge on BJP leaders by the police is very unfortunate and we strongly condemn it. We also condemn the allotment of the Namaz room in the Jharkhand assembly. This should not happen in the temple of democracy."
