Agartala (Tripura): Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Thursday expressed his confidence in the BJP-IPFT alliance and said that the ruling alliance would easily sweep the district council seats.
"The ruling government has freed people from the CPM's mandatory subscription (Tolabaji) raj and offered people the space to breathe fresh air rejecting the fear of cadre. The cadre business days are gone. As long as people reject CPM cadres from giving subscriptions, the party cannot come to power", said Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb.
Deb said that the party is working to wipe out CPIM from the TTAADC. "The day is not far ahead when the TTAADC will be also known as CPM mukt. Under the apt guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are working in that direction. The ruling BJP-IPFT alliance will surely ensure victory in 28 out of 28 seats. It will be a gift for the PM from our end", said Deb.
The Chief Minister also said that in the upcoming assembly elections, the ruling party will win all 60 seats. "In 2018, BJP was a new party in Tripura but still managed to win 36 seats. In the coming elections there will be no representation of the CPM in the assembly", he added.
