Nashik (Maharashtra):The BJP on Wednesday filed police complaints against CM Uddhav Thackeray, his wife, 'Saamana' editor Rashmi Thackeray and Yuva Sena chief Varun Sardesai, seeking FIRs against them on various grounds at the Nashik city cyber police station. Nashik Police have also confirmed that on behalf of the President of the Nashik unit of BJP, three people had filed the complaints.

Rishikesh Jayant Aher had filed the first complaint against CM Uddhav Thackeray for having felicitated Sardesai at his official residence 'Varsha' as the latter had allegedly staged protests outside Union Minister Rane's residence in Mumbai. Aher added that this sends a wrong message and causes law and order issues. He also went on to say that the videos of Sardesai's provocative remarks during the event were aired on social media platforms and hence a case should be filed against the two under IPC sections 153 (A), 107, 212 and the cyber crime laws.

Meanwhile, the second complaint was filed by one Sunil Raghunath Kedar against CM Thackeray. The complainant citing an alleged video clip said that CM Thackeray had made derogatory remarks against his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Yogi Adityanath. He added that Yogi Adityanath is not only UP CM and a BJP leader, but also the mahant of Gorakhpur Math and the sentiments of many Hindus are attached to him, hence a case should be filed against Thackeray under IPC sections 153 A (1), 153 B, 189, 295 A, 504, 505 (2) and 506.

Shivaji Nivrutti Barke had filed third complaint against the CM's spouse Rashmi Thackeray and Shiv Sena leader in Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) Ajay Boraste, for having published an editorial insulting Union Minister Narayan Rane in ''Saamana' on Wednesday (August 25). Barke also alleged that Boraste had made posters for the editorial and made it public. Hence, a defamation case and strict legal action should be taken against Rashmi Thackeray and Boraste.
