New Delhi:The controversy over the comments made by Samajwadi Party leader and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav regarding the Coronavirus vaccine does not seem to die down. The latest attack on him is by BJP national spokesperson Sanjay Mayukh.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, he asked the opposition leaders including Rashtriya Janata Dal about the problem they are facing due to the indigenous coronavirus vaccine.

"I failed to understand the problem of the opposition leaders with the vaccine that has approved for 'restricted use'", said Mayukh.

He further urged the opposition parties to stop politicising the issue and asked them to aware the citizens about the vaccine.

Yadav on Saturday had said that he will not get vaccinated against coronavirus for now as the "BJP government cannot be trusted".

However, facing huge criticism, he took the u-turn and clarified that he did not question experts or researchers involved in the vaccine making process.

What is the controversy?

Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) gave permission to Bharat Biotech's COVAXIN and Coviedshield "for restricted use in an emergency situation".

The opposition grabs this as an opportunity as the vaccine is still in clinical trial mode.
