New Delhi:RSS's farmers' wing Bharatiya Kisan Sangh is holding a one-day dharna in more than 500 districts across the country on Wednesday. The Bharatiya Kisan Sangh is demanding that farmers should get a remunerative price on the crops. They also held demonstrations outside various headquarters.
Delhi Pradesh Bharatiya Kisan Sangh also held a symbolic dharna at the Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Talking to ETV Bharat, Harpal Singh Dagar, President of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Delhi Pradesh, said that the Delhi Police was informed on 14 August about its plan to organise a one-day sit-in demonstration. He further added that he got a reply from Delhi Police through a WhatsApp message that permission for the event was not given. He added that due to a lack of mutual coordination among the officers of the Delhi Police, he could not get permission in time, but despite this, he is holding a dharna with a small number of workers.
