Belagavi: Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has launched a scathing attack on the Yogi-Adityanath government over the Hathras incident by asking him 'Are you Yogi or Rogi'?
Condemning the gang-rape and murder of a 19-year old Dalit woman, the leader of opposition told reporters, "Uttar Pradesh government has failed to maintain law and order in the state. Our leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi tried visiting the victim's family to offer condolences but they were stopped by the police at the behest of the Yogi government. Police even lathi-charged them. Is our country a democratic country or a Hitler country?"
Maintaining the party's stand that CM Yogi should resign from his post, the Leader of the Opposition said, "Yogi Adityanath should not continue as the Chief Minister of the state. Women and girls in Uttar Pradesh are not safe. I don't know whether he is 'Yogi' or 'Rogi'. India's rich culture, values and traditions have been destroyed by the Yogi government and he is unfit to be the CM of UP after such heinous crime."
