Bengaluru (Karnataka): "What Amulya said is wrong. She was joined by some Muslims and was not listening to me," said the father of Amulya, who raised 'Pakistan zindabad' slogan at the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) rally in Bengaluru.
The police have registered a sedition case against the girl.
"We have registered a suo moto case under Section 124A (sedition), 153A and B (promoting enmity between different groups and imputations, assertions prejudicial to national integration). Once formalities are completed, we will produce Amulya before judicial magistrate," B Ramesh, DCP Bengaluru (West) told reporters.
Karnataka Minister CT Ravi condemned the incident and said, "The 'deshdrohis' (anti-national) should not be pardoned. Sedition charges should be pressed against her."
