New Delhi: Ever since the brutal attack on the students and faculty members of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), apart from the destruction of the varsity's property, several disturbing videos have been doing the rounds, including those of masked men and women armed with wooden sticks, rods and sledgehammers attacking students.

Two videos dated January 3, which show what led up to January 4 - which is when the attack took place leaving more than 30 students, including JNUSU president Aishe Ghosh, and faculty members injured- has been accessed by ETV Bharat.

In the first video Vasant Kunj (North) Station House Officer can be seen accusing the students of locking up the server room and asking the students - including former JNUSU president Geeta Kumari (belonging to left-wing)- to vacate the premises surrounding the room in the University.

Geeta can be heard saying that they didn't lock up the room and that the authorities have the key to it while requesting the police officer to stop recording a video of the conversation.

"We didn't lock the door to the server room. THe key is with the authorities, they locked it and took the keys with them," said Geeta.

In another video, members belonging to the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) including Manish Jangid can be seen blocking the way to the server room amidst loud noises.

On the night of the attack, the server was allegedly switched off blocking internet services offered by the University.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has registered two FIRs in connection with vandalism at the server room at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, police said on Tuesday.

The FIRs were registered on the complaint of JNU administration on January 5, they said.

The JNU administration had given the names of students union office bearers including its president Aishe Gosh in connection with the vandalism but police have not put her name or that of other students in the accused column of the FIRs.
One complaint was lodged on January 3 for switching off the server while another complaint was registered on January 4 for vandalising the server room, police said.

JNUSU Vice President Saket Moon alleged that the administration is selectively targeting some students and denied any involvement in the vandalism of the server room.
