Talking about people wearing masks, Dr Kumar said masks could be worn in case a person is among the infected people. Wearing expensive masks, she said, is not required.
"I have seen people wearing masks. It's not required. Only the infected people or the ones who are dealing with them should wear masks," she said, emphasizing that people must spend lots of money on buying expensive masks.
"There is no need to go for an expensive mask. Basically Coronavirus is airborne and droplet infection which could be avoided by a simple mask also," she underlined.
With number of Coronavirus patients increasing in India everyday, the doctor suggested that people must wash their hands more frequently.
She said children, pregnant women and people with high blood pressure and diabetes must take care as their immunity is low as compared to others.
"People can also keep themselves healthy by eating green vegetables and fresh fruits," she suggested.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 4,000 people have died from the Coronavirus and over 113,000 cases have been confirmed globally. About 64,000 people have recovered from the disease across the world.
