VHP and RSS terms Palghar incident 'premeditated anti-Hindu conspiracy'

The brutal mob lynching where three men were killed in Palghar district has already become a political hot potato in the state and nationally. The VHP and Hindu Dharm Acharya Committee unveiled condolence programmes from Saturday to till April 28 including sending petitions to President Ram Nath Kovind and Governors in various states about the incident.

New Delhi: While the Maharashtra government has ruled out any communal angle into the Palghar killing of two Hindu monks, after BJP the RSS and Vishwa Hindu Parishad has kept the pot boiling.

The VHP and Hindu Dharm Acharya Committee unveiled condolence programmes from Saturday to till April 28 including sending petitions to President Ram Nath Kovind and Governors in various states about the incident.

These organisations are alleging that Palghar incident 'premeditated anti-Hindu conspiracy.

Some of the parties are alleging that Christian missionaries and leftist activities are the geneses of incidents like Palghar whereas BJP is asking for an inquiry who is responsible for the incident.

VHP announced plans for ‘deepdan’ (offering candles) in religious meetings of its women wings Matri Shakti and Durga Vahini on Saturday.

In a statement, VHP general secretary Milind Parande, who had on Thursday termed the Palghar incident as “premeditated anti-Hindu conspiracy”, scaled up the attack on Christian missionaries and leftist organisations in Palghar further after the “murderous attack” on saint Dandi Swami Pushpendra Ji Maharaj in Hoshiarpur in Punjab.

Many Hindu saints have already warned the government to take out a rally after the Coronavirus led lockdown will be over.

Maharashtra government's opposition BJP has termed this as a failure of law and order and demanded the resignation of Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, the ruling Congress has blamed that BJP is communalizing the issue.

Congress emphasised that BJP rules the village local body where the incident took place. Meanwhile, Congress slammed BJP stating that UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Home Minister Amit Shah's call to CM Uddhav Thackeray was nothing but an attempt to defame the MVA government.

BJP's national spokesperson Sudesh Verma says that the Palghar incident is not a common incident and is part of a conspiracy. Saints represent the culture of India and there being targeted than it means that there seems to be a very deep conspiracy.

On the other hand, BJP's national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain says that if people are raising their voice for justice then why is the Congress, Shiv Sena and NCP are seeing it from the communal prism.
