Uttar Pradesh woman sets self, two kids on fire

Uttar Pradesh woman allegedly committed suicide by pouring kerosene on herself and her children. Police personnel have send the bodies for post-mortem and matter is being investigated.

Sitapur: A 30-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by setting herself ablaze along with her two minor children in city's Mohali district on Monday. She reportedly poured kerosene on herself and her children and committed suicide. Police identified the woman as Rajni and her children as Pravesh and Chotu.

The incident took place at around 4pm on Sunday evening when her husband and brother-in-law had gone out for work.

According to sources, brothers of the deceased had come to stay with the family few days back.

"We have send the bodies for post-mortem. The cause of the death is yet to be ascertained. Deceased's father has not revealed anything yet.We are investigating the matter," said the cops.
