Uttar Pradesh: Four children injured in firecracker explosion

Four children suffered severe burn injuries following a firecracker explosion at a wedding ceremony in Uttar Pradesh. While three of the children are in stable condition and one is said to be in critical condition.

Muzaffarnagar: Four children sustained burn injuries when firecrackers exploded at a wedding ceremony in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar, officials said. The incident reportedly happened under Shahpur police station limits.

City police circle officer Girja Shankar Tripathi said, "A wedding was organised in Muzaffarnagar and a few children from the neighbourhood were playing nearby the wedding venue. Four children, aged between 10 and 11 years, were injured while trying to burst firecrackers. The four children were immediately rushed to the hospital."

The condition of three children is stable and one of them is said to be in critical condition.

Police registered an accident case and launched an investigation into the incident.
