New Delhi:On the 60th anniversary of the Cuban revolution, Fernando Gonzalez Llort, who had spent 17 years in the US prison on charges of espionage and is currently a legislator in Cuba's parliament, fired at Trump administration's South American policies.
Fernando Gonzalez claimed that the United States government has waged a war against anything which is progressive, nationalist and socialist.
"The US is trying to make sure that the Cuban economy doesn't develop. We are going to do anything which is in our hands to keep going on," said Cuban MP.
On India's role, he said, "No other country should tell India or any other country that they should not do something which they want to do. There is a whole lot of possibilities to do business with Latin American countries."
