Shamli (Uttar Pradesh): Nazim Ahmad, a Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL), sustained serious injuries after he was allegedly attacked by miscreants on Thursday in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh.
The unidentified miscreants also allegedly damaged Ahmad's car in the attack.
"I left for home from the office when a white-coloured Swift Dzire overtook my car and blocked it. I had to pull the brakes to avoid a collision. They got down from the car and started beating me up and fled later on, " said Ahmad.

A case has been lodged against unidentified persons at the Jhinjhana police station and a hunt is on to nab the accused, the police said.
