New Delhi:In a bid to enhance bilateral relations, United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan will visit India from July 7 to 9. This will be first official visit from a UAE leader post Prime Minister Modi's re-election.

During his visit, the UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah will hold bilateral talks with External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar. He will also call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The bilateral relations between both countries have seen a meteoric rise in recent years. The United Arab Emirates is India's third largest state partner and fourth largest energy supplier. It's also the first country to participate in India's 'strategic petroleum reserves' programme.

Nearly, 3.3 million strong Indian community has made UAE their second home and are contributing to its development.

The diplomatic relations between both countries can be realised from the fact that in April this year, the UAE awarded Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the prestigious Zayed Medal for playing a pivotal role in strengthening ties between the two Nations.
