Two-day girl found abandoned on footpath in Delhi's Shahdara

An infant girl was found abandoned on a footpath in Geeta colony of Delhi's Shahdara area on Saturday. A passerby informed the local police about the baby lying on the side of the road, after which she was admitted to Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya, where she has been receiving treatment.

A passerby informed the local police about the baby girl lying on the side of the road, after which she was admitted to Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya, where she has been receiving treatment.

"The infant was brought to our hospital in a serious condition, but she is stable now, " said Dr. Sanjay Roy, who is treating the infant at Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case and are on the lookout for her parents.

Footage from nearby CCTV cameras is also being scanned to identify the person who left the child.
