Srinagar (JK): Two Central Reserve Police Force personnel have committed suicide in Kashmir in two days, raising concern among the paramilitary forces deployed in the Valley.
CRPF spokesman in Srinagar, Pankaj Singh told ETV Bharat that an Assistant Sub Inspector of the 49 Battalion, Bengali Babu posted in Karan Nagar area of Srinagar shot himself dead with his service rifle Tuesday morning. Babu is the resident of Gwalior city in Madhya Pradesh.
He said that on Monday evening, a sub inspector, Fateh Singh, of 96 Battalion posted in Mattan area of southern Kashmir's Anantnag district shot himself dead. Singh is from Jaisalmer in Rajasthan.
He was rushed to a hospital but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
