Tributes pour in for Sheila Dikshit

Senior leaders and ministers paid tribute on the demise of the former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit who passed away today at the age of 81 years. She was the longest-serving chief minister of Delhi.

New Delhi: Former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit passed away on Saturday at the age of 81 years in Fortis Escort Heart institiute. She was suffering from heart ailment for a long time.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit at her residence in Delhi.

• Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla paid tribute at her residence in Nizamuddin. He said, "Sheila Dikhshit ji was a motherly figure, as a social & a political worker her contribution was immense to Delhi and the country; whole country is sad over her demise".
