New Delhi:North India continued to shiver with cold and dense fog wreaked havoc with rail operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) on Tuesday.
Earlier this week, chief public relations officer of Northern Railway Deepak Kumar stated that nearly 15 trains reaching Delhi have been delayed by an hour. It also includes premium vehicles like Rajdhani and Duronto. One of the most prominent trains of Indian railways Chandigarh-Kochuveli Sampark Kranti which runs between Chandigarh Junction and Kochuveli is delayed by 7 hours.
According to the information, Farakka Express, Purushottam Express, Mahabodhi Express, Purva Express, Vikramshila Express, Dakshin Express, Goa Express, G.T. Express and Tamil Nadu Express are delayed by 2-3 hours.
The Indian Railways have directed its passengers to once check the timings of their respective trains before leaving from their homes. Apart from this, it has stated that it is committed to providing safe and comfortable travel to the passengers and all efforts are being done in this direction.
