Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the inaugural address at the 'Conclave on Transformational Reforms in Higher Education under National Education Policy' on Friday, an official statement said. The conclave is being organised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the University Grants Commission, it said.

The Maharashtra government on Thursday opposed the PILs seeking a transfer of the Palghar lynching case investigation to the CBI or a court-monitored probe, telling the Supreme Court that "enough has been done" with charge sheets filed against 300 accused and six police officials suspended already.
