1. PM Modi to partake in Ekta Diwas celebrations at Kevadia, Gujarat
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay homage to Sardar Patel on his 145th birth anniversary and take part in the Ekta Diwas Parade along with administering the Rashtriya Ekta Pledge at Kevadia, Gujarat on October 31, 2020. The police forces of Gujarat, Central Reserve Armed Force, Border Security Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Central Industrial Security Forces and National Security Guards will participate in the Parade, as per a release.
2. Case filed against PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti for treason
A case has been filed against the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti in the civil court of Jaunpur district accusing her of using abusive language for the restoration of Article 370 and the national flag of India. Advocate Himanshu Srivastava filed a suit in the court accusing PDP Mufti of sedition and insulting the tricolour for which the hearing will be held on November 27.
