1. Amid Covid-19 restrictions, India to celebrate Dusshera with fervor today

People celebrating Dussehra also known as Vijayadashami with religious fervor by following COVID-19 guidelines by the government. Northern India celebrates this day as the victory of Hindu Lord Rama over demon Ravana. On the day of Dussehra, effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakaran and Meghnad are burnt.

5. Last date for filing annual GST return for FY 18-19 extended

The Government Saturday extended the last date for filing the annual GST return (GSTR-9) and reconciliation statement (GSTR-9C) for FY 2018-19 due to the difficulties faced by the taxpayers on account of Covid-19 global pandemic.
