1. Jammu and Kashmir: Soldier, terrorist killed in encounter
A soldier and a terrorist were killed in an encounter that broke out between militants and Indian Army in Pulwama district in the wee hours of Tuesday. Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint operation 'Kamrazipora' on Tuesday evening in Budgam. The area has been cordoned and firefighting ensued.
2. Three killed in Bengaluru violence over 'derogatory' social media post, accused arrested
Protests broke out in eastern Bengaluru late on Tuesday over a "derogatory message" posted by a politician's relative on social media in which three people were killed. Accused Naveen has been arrested and section 144 has been imposed in Bengaluru and curfew in DJ Halli & KG Halli police station limits of the city.

The 16-flood affected districts are Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Supaul, Kishanganj, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, West Champaran, East Champaran, Khagaria, Saran, Samastipur, Siwan, Madhubani, Madhepura and Saharsa.
