1. COVID-19: India's tally crosses 2 million

India on Friday registered more than 2 million coronavirus cases, with the countrywide figure standing at 20,25,409, reports said. According to covid19india.org data, India crossed 2 million benchmark and total postive cases stands at 20,25,409.

2. 5 killed in Kerala, over 2000 shifted to relief camps

Five people were killed as intermittent heavy rains and strong winds battered various parts of Kerala on Thursday uprooting trees and inundating roads and several homes while over 2000 people have been shifted to relief camps.

3. Panchganga crosses danger mark in Kolhapur, over 4,000 shifted

The Panchganga river crossed its danger mark in western Maharashtra's Kolhapur district on Thursday evening, officials said.As the catchment areas of Radhanagari dam were receiving heavy showers, water was released, leading to a rise in the river's level, they said.

4. Bihar floods: Death toll reaches 21, over 69 lakh affected

Waters from overflowing rivers originating in Nepal entered in more areas of the 16 flooded districts of Bihar on Thursday, claiming two lives and affecting more than 69 lakh people.

5. Expect China to work sincerely for complete disengagement, de-escalation: India

India on Thursday said it expects China to work with it "sincerely" for "complete" disengagement and de-escalation in eastern Ladakh as decided by their Special Representatives last month even as Army Chief Gen MM Naravane reviewed the force's preparedness along the Line of Actual Control(LAC) in Arunachal sector.
