1. SCO summit: PM Modi hits out at Pakistan, China, says ‘respect each other's territorial integrity’

In a stern message to Pakistan and China during Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) annual meet on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said it is important that the member countries respect one another's "sovereignty and territorial integrity", reports senior correspondent Chandrakala Choudhury.He further underlined that India strongly believes in peace, prosperity and security and have always raised voice against terrorism, illegal arms smuggling, drugs and money laundering.This was the first occasion where PM Modi had come face-to-face, although virtually, with Chinese President Xi Jinping, since the border standoff between India and China began in eastern Ladakh in early May.

2. Stop blaming EVMs: Karti Chidambaram on poor Congress show in Bihar

After Congress leader Udit Raj blamed the electronic voting machines (EVMs) for the negative results of the Grand Alliance in the Bihar Assembly elections, Congress MP Karti Chidambaram on Tuesday contradicted him by saying that EVMs are not to be blamed for electoral defeats.

3. Delhi riots:Court dismisses bail plea of Shahrukh Pathan who pointed gun at constable

A Delhi court has dismissed an interim bail plea of Shahrukh Pathan, whose picture showing him pointing a gun at an unarmed Delhi Police head constable during the communal riots, went viral on social media. Additional Sessions Judge Amitabh Rawat said going by Pathan's conduct and the manner in which he had absconded after the incident and was arrested, later on, suggested he was a flight risk.

4. Number of grand alliance will change: Hannan Mollah on Bihar counting

The ongoing counting of the Bihar election has been showing NDA on the upper hand, the grand alliance is hopeful that the result may change during the day. As per election result till now, there are around 50 counting centres where the difference between the NDA and Grand Alliance is of 1000 votes. Senior CPM leader and former MP Hannan Mollah said that the counting in rural areas will give the clear picture.

5. Punjab to go ahead with second sero survey

Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh permitted to conduct second Sero survey next week in the state. The survey will be conducted in a random sample of 4,800 persons among the general population to assess the spread of Covid-19 in the state. Its results are expected by the end of November.

6. ISI, Rangers involved in Sindh IGP abduction, PML-N leader's arrest: Pak Army

Pakistan Army has admitted that few officials of secret intel agency, ISI, and Rangers are involved in the abduction of Sindh IGP Mushtaq Mehr and the arrest of PML-N leader Capt. (retired) Mohammad Safdar Awan. Pak Army also said that the guilty personnel have been removed from their posts.

7. Bihar Polls: Vendors near Tejashwi's residence reap profits

On the counting day for the Bihar assembly election on Tuesday, many vendors were seen near the residence of Mahagathbandan chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav, trying to encash on the increased footfall. From ice cream vendors to sugarcane juice sellers, even mobile shops near the residence reaped profit due to the increased numbers at the site.

8.'Al-Qaeda has agreed to conceal presence in Afghanistan till US maintains troops'

Al-Qaeda's recent silence on violence being perpetrated in Afghanistan is an agreed strategy to conceal its presence in the country to facilitate the US-Taliban peace deal, according to the geopolitical analyst Abdul Sayed. Sayed writes that Taliban's action is contrary to the Afghan peace deal that was brokered by the US in February this year, in which the Taliban agreed not to shelter terrorist groups like al-Qaeda and to sever ties with the other such groups.

9.Jordan Peele's next horror film set for 2022 release

American actor Jordan Peele's next horror film has gotten a release date. The latest from the Oscar-winner will hit theatres on July 22, 2022, via Universal. The movie will be the follow-up project to Peele's 'Us', which took in USD 255 million at the global box office, it added. It was preceded by 'Get Out', Peele's feature debut, which became a massive success, grossing USD 176 million at the North American box office on a USD 5 million budget.

10. IPL final is the biggest thing after World Cup final, says Pollard

Mumbai Indians' all-rounder Kieron Pollard has said that the finals of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is the biggest thing in cricket after the World Cup final. Mumbai Indians have won the IPL four times (2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019). On the other hand, it is the first time that Delhi Capitals has made its way to the finals of the tournament.
