Under the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Adaptation of Central Laws) Third Order, 2020, the government has paved the way for any Indian citizen to buy land in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh which was not possible before Article 370.

Government has declared 18 more individuals as terrorists under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 including Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin involved in the Mumbai terror attack as well as the IC 814 hijacking.

Karnataka health minister Dr K Sudhakar on Tuesday expressed confidence that a vaccine for COVID-19 would be available early in 2021 and said the government would ensure that it reaches every nook and corner of the state after its launch.

6. Sitharaman sees near-zero growth in FY21, Chidambaram says impossible

Making quite an optimistic estimate on economic recovery, Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday said that gross domestic product (GDP) growth in the current fiscal year may remain near zero levels after seeing a massive 23.9% contraction in the first quarter ending June 2020.

7. FM sees minimal impact of Covid-19 on GDP

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday said there were visible signs of revival in the economy but the GDP growth may be in the negative zone or near zero in the current fiscal. This is primarily because of a huge 23.9 per cent contraction in the economy in the first quarter of current fiscal (April-June), she added.
