After successful completion of Phase 1&2 clinical trials of COVAXIN, Bharat Biotech initiates Phase 3 trials in more than 25000 participants in over 25 centres across India. An expert panel at the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) has recommended granting permission for conducting phase 3 clinical trials of its indigenously developed COVID-19 vaccine with certain conditions.
2.Kapil Dev complaints chest pain, undergoes successful angioplasty
India's World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev has undergone successful angioplasty at a hospital in New Delhi after complaints of chest pain. According to the statement released by the hospital, Dev, 62, is in a stable condition and is expected to get discharged soon.
3. Umar Khalid, Sharjeel Imam's judicial custody extended till November 20
Delhi's Karkardooma Court on Friday extended the judicial custody of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) alumnus leader Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam till 20 November. Additional Sessions Judge Amitabh Rawat, after conducting the hearing through video conferencing today directed the Tihar Jail Superintendent to allow Umar Khalid to exit the jail as per rules.

A sleeping bag, storage device and a mobile phone was discovered from a PLA soldier named Corporal Wang Ya Long, who had strayed across the Line of Actual Control into Indian territory in the Demchok area in eastern Ladakh and was apprehended by the Army on Monday.
