Prime Minister Scott Morrison said Monday a tweet by a Chinese official which shows a fake image of an Australian soldier slitting a child's throat is "truly repugnant" and "utterly outrageous." Morrison said he was seeking an apology from the Chinese government as already strained tensions between the two nations mounted.
7. Dr Shital Amate found dead under suspicious circumstances
Dr Shital Amate, daughter of Vikas Amte and granddaughter of famous social worker Baba Amte was found dead in suspicious circumstances. As per preliminary information, she reportedly injected herself and ended her life this morning, said a police official P. Pendarkar from Warora Police Station. She was rushed to the Warora Rural Hospital nearby further enquiries are underway, said Pendarkar.
8. Urmila Matondkar to join Shiv Sena on Tuesday
After remaining in the denial mode for 14 months, former Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar will finally join the Shiv Sena on Tuesday, a senior aide to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said here on Monday. From September 2019 till November 30 evening, Matondkar, 46, had categorically denied that she was planning to join the Shiv Sena, though strong speculation reigned in political and media circles.
9. Hyderabad set to vote after high-pitch campaign
The stage is set for polling on Tuesday in the Hyderabad civic polls which witnessed a high decibel campaign resembling an Assembly or parliamentary election with top leaders from different parties participating in the election.
