1. Team India on their knees, record their lowest score in Test cricket
An outstanding display of bowling by Australia's Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins helped host reduce India's 2nd innings to 36/9 here at the Adelaide Oval on Saturday. India was bundled out for 36 in the second innings, setting a target of 90 runs for Australia to go 1-0 up in the series. This score of 36 is India's lowest-ever score in Test cricket. Before this, India's lowest score was 42 in Test cricket against England in 1974.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Saturday tendered an apology to Vivek Doval, son of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, before a Delhi court in connection with a criminal defamation case. Vivek Doval had filed a defamation case against Jairam Ramesh and Caravan Magazine for their alleged defamatory statements and articles against him.
4. Budget 2021-22: Focus on health, Digital India, infrastructure, jobs
Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has clearly cut out her task for the first post-pandemic budget as she gears up to present a ‘budget like never before in the last 100 years’ at a time when the country is in the process of stepping out of the shadows of the Covid-19 global pandemic. Addressing a conference organised by the industry body CII, Sitharaman Friday outlined the government’s focus on the health sector, more thrust on digitalisation and infrastructure and job creation for the post-pandemic era.
