Time magazine's cover an honest version of PM Modi: Salman Khurshid

Congress veteran leader Salman Khurshid said that Time magazine's cover is an honest version of how PM Modi performed in the last 5 years. The Time magazine has featured PM Modi on its cover, called him India's "divider in chief" in its international edition.

New Delhi: SeniorCongress leader Salman Khurshid on Saturday stated that Time magazine's cover is an honest depiction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's performance during his five-year tenure.

Time Magazine in its international edition has termed the Prime Minister as the 'Divider in chief.'

Supporting the magazine's headline, Khurshid said, "He (PM Modi) was projected as a great new hope for India five years ago in the same magazine, you can't accept one version and reject another version. The present version, which is I believe is an honest version about how he is performing in the last five years and how negative and positive politics has become."

"This is being said by the Times magazine it means that the world has now finally decided to speak the truth," he added.

"The truth being spoken in the world media, I hope the truth will be spoken on the 23rd of May by the Indian people as well," said Khurshid.

The Time magazine has featured PM Modi on its cover, called him India's "divider in chief", and asked if India can endure five more years of his government.

Besides, a secondary headline read "Modi the Reformer" highlighting some key economic reforms undertaken by the government in the last five years.
