New Delhi:Enhancing their diplomatic relation further, India and Maldives have exchanged three Memorandum of Understandings today in the national capital.
Two agreements have been signed between election commissions and Financial Intelligence Units of both nations. It talks about mutual cooperation. The third pact is a treaty on mutual legal assistance.
Three MoUs signed during 6th India-Maldives Joint Commission Meet in New Delhi, on Friday.
The agreements were signed in the presence of External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and his Maldivian counterpart Abdulla Shahid at Hyderabad House, New Delhi.
Both ministers during their bilateral also reviewed progress achieved in implementing the vast and ambitious agenda of bilateral cooperation agreed between the two countries. They also reviewed cooperation on security and defence partnership.

Maldivian Foreign Minister also met PM Modi and thanked him for his vision and strong leadership in driving the India-Maldives relationship. He expressed his deep appreciation for India’s support in various development cooperation initiatives that are currently being implemented in the Maldives.
