Three workers die while cleaning septic tank, eight booked
Three workers employed to clean a septic tank at a housing society in Maharashtra's Nalasopara died, reportedly due to inhalation of toxic gases. The police have booked eight people in connection with the case and have sent the bodies for an autopsy.

Palghar: Three workers, who were employed to clean a septic tank at a housing society in Nalasopara district of Maharashtra on Friday, died during the cleaning process, reportedly due to inhalation of toxic gases emanating from the tank.
The incident took place in Anand View apartment in Nilemore locality around 1 am.
"The three workers, who were between the age group of 25 to 35, went into the septic tank to clean it. However, they died inside, possibly due to inhalation of toxic gases," Palghar Police Spokesperson Hemant Katkar, had said.
"Their bodies were pulled out by a joint team of the fire department and disaster management cell. The bodies have been shifted for a post-mortem," he added.
Katkar also said that they have booked eight persons in connection with the incident and have charged them for the negligence.
A case was registered against them under IPC section 304 A (causing death by negligence), the police had said.
