Bengaluru (Karnataka):With stray animals having a hard time fetching food for themselves amid a COVID-19 induced nationwide lockdown, a software engineer from Karnataka’s Bengaluru has turned saviour to more than 1,200 such helpless creatures.
Rekha Mohan, a software engineer by profession and the head of Happy Falls Foundation - an organisation dedicated to the cause of stray and abandoned animals - has been feeding more than 1,200 stray dogs and other animals every day.
Mohan cooks 75 kilograms of rice and 60 kilograms of chicken every day at a cost of Rs. 5,000 to feed the stray animals.
