Bihar: Hitting out at Tejaswi Yadav of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for holding a ‘Berozgari Hatao' yatra in Bihar on February 23 to highlight the issue of unemployment in the state under the Nitish Kumar-led JD(U) government ahead of state elections, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said that the rally is "aimless" and claimed that it is only the RJD members who are "unemployed".
"The yatra is aimless. It is only the RJD members who are unemployed," Hussain told ETV Bharat.
Taking a dig at RJD for losing the Lok Sabha elections held in 2019, the national spokesperson of the saffron party, which is an ally of the ruling JD (U) in Bihar, said, "Out of the 40 seats in Bihar, BJP and its allies won 39 seats. Even this time around we would contest the (state) election under the leadership of Nitish Kumar and secure more than 200 seats."
Tejashwi Yadav’s ‘Berozgari Hatao Yatra’ is set to kick off from the Bihar Veterinary College ground in Patna on February 23, the ‘yatra’ will lead to rallies in every district of the state and the luxury bus that Yadav will travel in has been named ‘Yuva Kranti Rath’.
