Tanker lorry runs over child in Chennai

A girl child, identified as Sarveshwari, was crushed to death by a speeding tanker lorry in Chennai on Saturday. The child was riding on a bike along with her parents when a tanker lorry hit their bike and knocked the girl child to the ground before trampling her down.

Chennai (Tamil Nadu):A tanker lorry knocked down a child and ran over it on Saturday, killing her on the spot in Tamil Nadu's Chennai.

The child, identified as Sarveshwari, was riding on a bike along with her parents when a tanker lorry hit their bike and knocked the girl child to the ground before trampling her down.

Sarveshwari died on the spot.

An irate mob, which witnessed the entire incident, got hold of the tanker lorry driver and beat him up.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the driver and further investigation is underway.
