New Delhi:The Supreme Court on Tuesday asked the Chief Ministers of Haryana and Punjab to have a meeting on the long-pending issue of Satluj-Yamuna Link Canal (SYL).
The bench comprising Justice Arun Mishra, Justice BR Gavai and Justice Krishna Murari asked the states to inform the court by the third week of August whether they are able to work out a solution or not.
In its last hearing, the court had given four months' time and had asked the centre to convene a meeting of both the states and find a solution.
