During her tenure and even after stepping into the solitude of post-politics, Swaraj utilised the medium to voice her opinions, share concerns and provide solutions.

The senior BJP leader passed away reportedly following a cardiac arrest on Tuesday, August 6.

Here, we look at her recent involvement in Twitter on key issues, after retiring from active politics.

  • Sushma Swaraj met the family of Kulbhushan Jadhav on July 25, 2019, following the International Court of Justice (ICJ) verdict on espionage charges against Khulbhushan Jadhav, a retired Indian Navy officer, who was sentenced to death by the Pakistani military court on charges of "espionage and terrorism."
  • Former EAM paid tributes to martyrs on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas.
  • Sushma Swaraj on SP MP Azam Khan's remarks against the chair in the Lok Sabha.
  • Swaraj on the passage of Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill in the parliament

Besides, her last tweet turned out to be quite prophetic.

  • Sushma Swaraj's last words on Twitter were to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Centre's move on Jammu and Kashmir.
